Getting bad news is discouraging. Getting bad news that changes your lifes path is overwhelming. The news we got yesterday was such that you kind of take your notes and rip them out of the notebook and start fresh. Not completely, but for a 17 year old young lady who was planning on a cheerleading scholarship, its pretty life changing. But I must say, shes handling it very well and considering all her options. Last night as I slipped in her room to say goodnight I felt God prompt me to tell her something. My wife, her mom, was 21 when she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She was robbed of the opportunity to birth children, that would be devastating to any young woman. But without that event, we would not have the 7 children we adopted, one of those being her. So God took 2 bad situations and created an awesome result. As for her, she will have to wait and see what wonderful thing God will do with her predicament. Im expecting something great. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.
