Getting old can actually be interesting. You tend to become more brave. Because you have less to lose. You know your end is nearing so one becomes more adventurous. Unlike common perception, an older, more matured person is more focused thereby sharper than an average young. I feel my sight has lost its hazy energy and I can see better...I do not get swept away by adulation anymore. I know that this big world is getting worse each day. I see darkness, lies, deceit, crudity, vulgarity, sick people getting more sick...And I know that this world will never become any better. No matter how much gloss and hype we create on billboards and neon lit malls, poverty and degradation will only increase. Fancy cars and laptops will become like disposable lighters...But amid all this chaos I still can focus on a small section of people who still make a difference to our lives. In a crowded street. In a packed bus. In a crazy shopping mall...ordinary people still making that difference by the way they walk, talk or smile at me. They are happy because they have chosen not to get swept away by the tide. They stand apart. They relish each little moment of life...like that boy eating an orange in Barcelona somewhere (in my dreams). UNOSHAAT is about these people who make a difference...
