Getting older is definitely not for sissies! I have had my knee injected several times and my shoulder once. In fact when I saw the size of the needle and syringe when Dr. Bagget was about to inject my shoulder, I asked why such a big needle and so much medicine in the syringe ( I was real close to chickening out and just dealing with the pain!). He quickly informed me that my shoulder was a lot bigger than my knee! Well, yesterday, I wound up with a steroid injection just behind my right big toe - it seems that the nagging pain when I push off to walk is not just arthritis but a bone spur just where the joint is. Today, it feels better and I must be on a steroid high because I have spent the day cleaning, vacuuming and mopping. There is not a better orthopedic foot doctor than Dr. John Chrabuszcz at Ortho GA in Macon. His treatment kept me from having to have surgery on my left ankle.
