Getting ready to soap! I am feeling really nervous like I always do when trying a new recipe and read that pine tar is not the easiest substance to work with! It is sticky and gooey and causes your soap to trace super fast so I will have to move very quickly to get it into 8 lbs. worth of molds quickly!! I am praying that it turns out well because I HATE messing up a batch. I am doing 1/2 with finely ground oatmeal, and 1/2 without because I want to see which way I like better. I am also scenting it lightly with Fir Needle essential oil. The pine tar gives it a piney scent anyway, but I think it would be nice to enhance that scent of pine.
