Getting the low-down on Patty & Pies wood fire pizza oven. A highly recommended place if youre looking for pizzas and burgers. My boys had beef burgers as they dont think burgers should be anything but. The patties were moist, almost melting in the mouth. I kid you not. The buns were fresh and soft. If youre looking for other than beef burgers, there are some interesting combos. I had the Baba Ganoush pizza. Instead of tomato sauce, this pizza has a base of cream, baba ganoush which is a Middle Eastern eggplant spread and topped with Feta cheese, parsely, mint and black olives. The mint reacted very well with the hot crust as it came out of the oven and that first bite convinced me this is a sure winner. Our second pizza was your typical manly kind, with minced beef and halal, imported chorizo. Another winner. The crust was thin and crispy around the edges and the little charred bits added to the flavour. The restaurant is new, just about a week. Owners Shahreen and Nadal Murray have worked hard at putting it together. Thumbs up guys. So head on down to Patty & Pie for some excellent pizzas and burgers. And spread the love folks.
