Getting to know the Candidate: Kris is a Regional Vice President for Ross Medical Education Center for the past 7 years. In this role she is responsible for the operation management and policy recommendations relating to personnel, faculty and administration, student services, buildings and grounds and ancillary services of several campus locations in the Mid-West. Prior to this role she was a Campus Director and Faculty Training Director for 7 Years. As a Regional VP Kris can often be found working with Accreditation and State agencies for efficient operation of Ross Education. Remaining compliant to accreditation standards is one of the most important aspects of her position along with writing and implementing policies that relate to those visits. This includes training and implementation then making certain the policy is enforced at the campus level. As a RVP she is part of a progressive leadership team and as such assists in the development and implementation of new business models, student regulations, and staff/faculty initiatives, while building and maintaining campus morale for students, staff and faculty. She is responsible to assist in the estimation of the institutions regional budget, providing appropriate campus leadership with advice relating to initial estimation of their respective budgets. Working with campus leadership in financial monitoring and thus provide equitable solutions for budget variances. In her role she must partner with admissions leadership to lead the plan for recruitment of students. It is not unusual for Kriss teams to exceed student placement outcomes in her campus locations; this happens through coaching teams on developing job leads, interview prep, employer relations, assisting students during and after their program with job reediness tools, assisting the team team to be focused on quality placement of grads - quickly after graduation. Kris also leads all 30 campus locations as the community service program Chair. Kris was asked to chair this for Rosss 30 campus (across 6 states) locations because of her strong leadership and her desire to serve the communities that Ross schools are located within. She was awarded and Employee recognition award in 2013 as a result of the successful implementation of the community service programs at Ross. Kris truly enjoys working with Faculty, Staff, Administration and Students at Ross and would bring these skills to her role as a School Board Member for Richmond Schools.
