#GettingPastMe Day 24 - Philippians 3:8 - NIV What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ. AMP Version - I count everything as loss, compared to the [possession of the priceless privilege] of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, and of progressively becoming more {deeply} and {intimately} acquainted with Him [perceiving, recognizing, and understanding Him more fully and clearly]. For His sake, I have lost everything, and consider it all to be mere rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ. The Word that was brought forth in tonights service, convicted the selfishness that still lingers inside me. God is a good God, all the time. Regardless of the circumstances I face. Regardless of what Im physically lacking. So any bit of me that is still only seeking God, in order to receive His promises, was strongly confronted tonight. God, I DO want to know YOU more deeply and intimately, because its YOU - THE ALMIGHTY, MAJESTIC, SOVEREIGN KING. This selfishness that still lingers inside me, is holding me back from a greater level of intimacy with You. Lord, help me get past me more than EVER before. Please continue to do Your work on my heart, until I am brought to the place where my entire being desires You for You... nothing, no-thing else. YOU are my priceless prize.
