Ghana is 57 years old but our story can be as pathetic as that of Methuselah in the Bible who could ONLY be remembered for his old age and NOTHING else. Despite our 57 years Ghana can only boast of High Housing deficit ( Ghanains sleepin on the street) with the toils of others being crushed down in so called Demolitions, Absence of portable drinking water n if present unreliable, Dumsor Dumsor halting academic and economic activities ( As I scribble this there is no light since mornin in the entire UCC, how can students learn in the dark), Corruption in public institutions ( GYEEDA, SADA, SUBA, Fraudulent judgement debts, etc) to de extent that Ghana is tagged as a Republic of Corruption, Missing babies, High Cost of living, Unemployment, Filth everywhere including our National Capital, Pupils studying under trees n building with no roof etc. Look around you n see them for yourself. Our leaders are good at talking but slow at taking action. Our peers like Malaysia are far ahead of us like Usain Bolt due to their vision,action oriented and selflessnes compared to ours who are selfish, directionless n talkatives. I entreat our leaders to rise up to the occasion n salvage this situation or Posterity will jugde the. Am sorry I cant wish a Happy 57th Anniv. to you cos there is nothing to celebrate about. Ghana is an apology of a Nation.
