Ghana vs Portugal A few obervations of mine. Holding, shirt pulling and stud showing tackles by Portugal earlier on which continued unabated through out the match were not penalized. Ghana made so many clumsy tackles which resulted in a lot of unnecessary free kicks. Holding and shirt pulling in the penalty box by Portugal was permitted. Many poor clearances by Ghanas defense led to gift chances for Portugal. Portuguese defender, Bruno Alves should have been given a yellow card early to calm him down. The Refree helped Portugal block a Ghanian pass in Portugals half that led to the counter attack which resulted in the first goal against Ghana. It happens and unfortunately as much as Id like to, I cant use it to formulate a conspiracy theory! Yes, they were not a disgrace to Africa. The officiating wasnt that bad except for the referee assisted first goal Portugal scored!!! Their demise too was self inflicted though. An own goal... referee assisted I maintain and a foolish goal keeping error which gifted Ronaldo his only goal of this tournament. Still, the Black Stars of Ghana are a good team that has a future. ESPN Couldnt hold in their excitement or despair. Those commentary guys had serious mood swings! Germany pretends to like Africa. They didnt cooperate. Just one goal! Shameful really! Jérôme Boateng be warned! Your half brother, Prince behaved badly and was sent home early. Which flight did he take? One to Accra or Frankfurt?
