Ghanaian coach Ibrahim Tanko is on the verge of helping qualify Cameroon for the 2014 World Cup as they play home to Tunisia in the second-leg playoff on Sunday. The Indomitable Lions are at home to the North Africans knowing only a win will seal their place at next year’s event in Brazil. Cameroon secured a well-deserved goalless draw in the first leg of the tie in last month’s clash in Tunis. The four-time African champions are now carrying all the aces going into the return encounter in Yaoundé. Tanko, an ex Black Stars striker is also on hand to making his own piece of history as being the first Ghanaian coaching export to take a team to the World Cup. The 36-year-old believes his side is prepared enough to finish the job on Sunday. “We’ve just finished our preparations and the team spirit is wonderful,” Tanko told GHANAsoccernet on the eve of the biggest game in his young coaching career. “We have all the players on board ready for tomorrow. I’m very confident that we are going to beat them (Tunisia) Insha Allah. “Well, I think it is [World Cup qualification] not only good for me but also for Ghana because I’m representing Ghana as well. “And I know my people are also praying for me.” Cameroon are chasing a 7th qualification to the World Cup finals at next year’s grand event in Brazil.
