Ghanaian rapper and fashion designer, Sarkodie has credited his skill and quality of rap lines to the ‘lyrical wild cat’ Okra Tom Dawidi. The ‘Illuminati’ hit maker admitted on social platform Twitter that growing up, Okra Tom was one of the few Ghanaian rappers who had some of the best hip life songs. This, according the award-winning artist, made it difficult for him to write mediocre rap verses. “@okra_dawidi got some of da best verses in gh rap music.. he made it so difficult to even write but dat was needed cos he made us soldiers,” Sarkodie tweeted. Even though both Sarkodie and Okra have a lot of similarities when it comes to their style of music, the two talented musicians are yet to do a song together. Okra who is known in real life as Emmanuel Ralph Kotei Niko, is best remembered for his brilliant wordplay, fiery flow and a nasally, aggressive voice in his ‘Ayeeko’ track which featured Tinny and Obrafour in the ‘Execution Diary’ compilation. Okra Tom who is making a comeback from his four-year musical hibernation is currently in the studio working on songs for the upcoming album. He recently featured on Yung Mic King’s single titled ‘I Can’t See’ which has been receiving various downloads since its release.
