Ghost in The Shell- Motoko Kusaagi- Masamune Shirow (or Shirow Masamune) At first, this was a typical commission. I didnt initially think much about it. Then, last night, I realized this is the first piece that I have ever done, in relation, to one of my favorite artists. Then, some type of artistic honor code came over me and this is what ended up on my art board. Its a composition based piece, so there isnt much to it aesthetically (meaning there isnt a lot of over demanding detail or rendering). Thanks to Shirow for his contributions to the comic industry. I hope my work gains the recognition that his art has. Besides, the commission, I dug up a drawing that I drew back in late 1987, when I was a kid. Its a character from Appleseed. You can decide if I have progressed any from over the years. Thanks again, Shirow, for the inspiration to do comics. -J-
