#GhoulMourningManiacs!! 2014 is almost over . Its been a heck of a great year ! Roughly estimating seven finished paintings , two more being worked on right now. Ha-Ha! Horror won the F.A.P.A. Presidents Choice Award. I won Best Painter in Artvoices Best Of Buffalo Awards. Movies Ive been involved with were released- or premiered. Return To Nuke Em High Sledge Dry Bones A Grim Becoming I had the chance to meet and rub elbows with heroes from my childhood- Adam West , Burt Ward , Julie Newmar , Lou Ferrigno , etc. Sharing my work with them was so invigorating ! Book signings and comic- cons were incredible ! I attended at least a dozen events , including Cats Like Us , two Barnes & Noble signings , and hopped around Canada and WNY , signing books and artwork . I had opportunities that didnt come to fruition, both in film and artwork . Not for lack of trying or wrong doing on anyones behalf . Things just didnt connect- wether it was scheduling conflicts or otherwise . Im grateful for any chance given and hope to try again in the future. I had to turn down some projects , too. It happens. Im looking forward to 2015 . Projects are already in motion - Bride of Ha-Ha! Horror and other things are making 2015 as challenging and rewarding as 2014 . I have a moment to stretch out, have a cup of coffee , then go for it ! Maniacs , thank you for your undying support !! Youve made this one remarkable year !! Sincerely, Monstermatt
