Giant Halfway reverts to original design for 2015. Virtually - TopicsExpress

Giant Halfway reverts to original design for 2015. Virtually unchanged since I first saw it back in 2001, the proven folder is reliable for everyday use despite having half chainstays and stanchions. Veteran designer Mike Burrows meant it to be halfway between a folder and a full-sized bike splitting the difference between whats great with both. Mono-stays and fork makes for a more compact fold and faster to replace tubes and tires as wheel disassembly is not required (only loosening a brake shoe to facilitate dismounting) not delaying you too much when you get a puncture on the way to work. It is hefty compared to others in its class but it makes up for it as it rolls fast on its front wheel when folded. You could run to catch the train and pivots on a dime as you maneuver it in a crowded station. Then your off speeding to your destination as it folds and unfolds in under 10 seconds even with one hand. 😌☕️ Image: giantbicycles
