Gifted came out yesterday, and since it’s largely an independent - TopicsExpress

Gifted came out yesterday, and since it’s largely an independent project (I had some help!) I was trying to keep up with questions posted in the comments. I’m at the Toronto book fair all day today, though, then off to Arizona tomorrow morning. Here are a few responses to save folks from wading through comments looking for them :) If you have other questions, please e-mail Alison (mail@kelleyarmstrong) First, if you have no idea what I’m talking about re: Gifted, it’s an Otherworld/Cainsville holiday story duo, now available, $2.99 USD, webpage with links: kelleyarmstrong/gifted/ Now the questions/concerns answered... Why ebook? This is a short story plus a short novella. Total length is just over 100 pages. That means a physical book was NOT an option. What if I dont have an eReader? The pdf (available from the Payhip link) works on any computer with Adobe Acrobat (if you can read my newsletters, sample chapters, online stories etc, you can read Gifted.) When will it be on Nook/iBooks? Nook was uploaded yesterday and should be online by tomorrow. There’s a technical issue uploading to iBooks. Apple is looking into it. I have no ETA for that one, but the epub & PDF files from Payhip are iBooks-compatible. I will post a note when iBooks come online. For Nook, check Saturday, and I’ll add the links to the webpage ASAP. Whats Payhip? A direct purchase site. It allows you to buy from me and lets me offer discount codes and a computer-friendly PDF file. You get the mobi, epub and PDF files (all three major formats.) You can use code GIFT-FB to get 30% off until Nov 20. Note: that code will only work for Payhip. Is Gifted available to international readers? Yes. Check your local Amazon site. If you dont have a local one, you can apparently buy from Amazon, but as a reader pointed out, Amazon may significantly jack up the price and that one of those “things I can’t control. If it’s overpriced, consider the Payhip option, which is actually set at $2.99 Canadian meaning it will be LESS than $2.99 USD no matter where you are. Hey, isn’t the Otherworld series supposed to be over? No. Sorry :) When I announced the last book (back in 2011) I said that while the books were ending, I would continue writing short fiction to wrap up story lines. That’s what you’re getting with The Puppy Plan, Bounty Hunt, Forsaken etc. Whew. Okay, huge thanks to all who bought Gifted. I hope you enjoy it! Now off to get ready for the book fair!
