Gig Report: WOW, WHAT A NIGHT !!!!!!!!!!! Performed last night with I&I Riddum Reggae Band. The venue was Bethesda Blues & Jazz Supper Club. In a word.......EXTREMELY OUTSTANDING !!!!!! Toni the Keyboardist was her usual EXCELLENT self. Dave the drummer was simply AMAZING. He ALWAYS is. Oren the Keyboardist was KILLER & played his ass off ! Malcolm the Bassist is ALWAYS SPLENDID. He KILLED it ! Nickoli is THE BEST MALE REGGAE VOCALIST IN D.C. Sister Pat, the female vocalist was WONDERFUL, a real gem. Sister Pat has SO MUCH charisma & stage presence. Shes a pro. I played well & sounded good. Used a ES-335 & a Les Paul. Reggie had great tone & really good signal processing. The venue provided dinner for the band & it was pretty good. I also had my own dressing room. This was an REALLY cool. An elevator from the Green Room to the back of the stage.....NICE. Also the Green Room had our own waiter-valet.....REAL NICE. Absolutely THE BEST GIG Ive played in over a decade. This gig & the room was SO NICE....it was like a union gig. Concert sound system & concert lighting that was EXCELLENT! I&I Riddum performed EXTREMELY well. SUPER TIGHT ! We only played 2 sets & we REALLY delivered....BIG TIME !!!! BTW, the house was packed & EVERYBODY was dancing ! Overall Grade: A+ (I brought 2 guitars with me last night: a ES-335 & a Les Paul. Im glad I did. I completely burnt through both sets of strings. For some reason my hands, lately, get REALLY sweat when I play. Its a huge, expensive problem I gotta fix.....somehow)
