Gilad Cohen here! As some of you may know, I started Jayu over three years ago. Growing up in Toronto I was always curious about other cultures and it wasn’t until I took a trip to North Korea in 2007 that I discovered some of the world’s worst human rights atrocities. That was what planted the seeds to start Jayu and eventually led to me quitting my job this past summer to do this full-time. Four months ago we didn’t even know if there would be a film festival. And now we’re so thrilled to screen 19 films focusing on 16 different countries with 13 premieres. I’m happy to share our official 2014 Festival Teaser (which I finished at 4AM last night… today?). I’m so proud of our entire team for what we’re about to accomplish. Please watch the video.
