Gilbert Chinn, an old college friend and fretboard enthusiast, commented on the TBT photo I had just posted of John Jackson and myself back when I was open mic host at the Pizza Patio in Toronto. He asked for my contact info and 1 click later he called me and talked mostly about Jimmy Wyble of whom I had never heard. He encountered 80 year-old Jimmy playing a guitar in a music store in LA and found that he had a regular gig at a Thai restaurant 3 miles from his home. This is sublime. What a way to end the day. These are the treasures that FB delivers to us along with all the distractions
