Gilmore update Stephon Gilmore is one week closer to returning to the field, but with a 6-8 week timetable there’s still some ground for him to cover in his rehab. Head coach Doug Marrone admitted Gilmore is still a ways off from playing football, but they’ve got him in all the team meetings and positional meetings to keep him up to speed on the weekly game plans and such. “He’s heavily involved,” said Marrone. “We’re keeping him heavily involved so the transition will be quick. As soon as he’s ready to go he’ll go and play.” Spotted in the locker room Monday, Gilmore no longer had a cast on his left wrist. The cornerback was wearing an immobilizer brace, which will be the means of protection as his wrist continues to heal. Gilmore underwent surgery late last month and had pins inserted in his wrist for stability and proper healing.
