Gina Altamura and I played Rogers Emotions today on-air on XRAY.FM. We then encouraged dudes to talk about their emotions with vocoder because it makes the cheesiest things sound great, and also told people to call in about their favorite sing-speak verses in songs. One guy did call. A charming fellow. A kind soul. A modern-day Jesus. He began with something along the lines of, I gotta make this fast cause Im at work, and then proceeded to correct us, saying that Roger uses a talk box not a vocoder. A much appreciated tip, which I told him I would correct on-air. He then said, You guys should use a vocoder, because your voices are horrendous. To which I said, Duly noted. Thanks. To which he backpedaled the tiniest bit (I think he wanted a better reaction) and said, Or at least take it down a couple octaves. Indeed, duly noted, again. He said he just couldnt help but call us to tell us about his emotions. And then he hung up without saying goodbye. What a great fellow. If youre out there, call me?
