Ginebra, San Mig Coffee break deadlock in Manila Clasico semifinals Game Three .Barangay Ginebra San Miguel and San Mig Coffee break their 1-all deadlock in the PLDT Home DSL Philippine Cup when they do battle in Game Three on Sunday at Mall of Asia Arena. Tipoff is set at 5 p.m. live over TV5. The Gin Kings are coming off a rousing 93-64 victory in Game Two last Friday and are looking to follow it up with a similar effort. Mixers coach Tim Cone took responsibility for the lopsided loss. “It’s not the first time that I’ve gone from genius to idiot. Game Two was on me. We were poorly prepared for their adjustments and everything kind of imploded for us,” Cone said. “The good news for us is you don’t get extra wins in the series for a blowout. It’s still just 1-1. But we certainly have to pick it up, me especially.” Ginebra sprung a lethal 2-3 zone that stopped San Mig Coffee’s potent attack in Game Two, and the onus is on the Mixers to come up with an adjustment. But the Gin Kings contend that more than the tactical change, it was their aggressiveness that spelled the difference in the second game. “We practice it, but it was our energy which spelled the difference,” said Ginebra star Japeth Aguilar. @SGD
