Ginny Ray is making progress. She got two pints of blood today, as much as anything to replenish the blood lost to samples, etc. Plus she is not making good blood with solid food. The doctor who did the procedure on Saturday is pleased with her progress. She still has a lot of swelling in her belly - some is agitated tissue and some is liquid retention. She is beginning to retain liquid so now that she is getting nutrition through the feeding tube they are going to stop the IV of other fluids. Until she gets rid of the fluids and swollen belly, her breathing will not improve. That must improve before she can go home. She walked quite a way today and she is eliminating waste on her own. When we get rid of more of the IVs tomorrow she will be able to move more and the more she moves, the better. We have a fingers crossed she can go home this weekend. That will be huge for everyone.
