Girl Scout Cadette Troop 664 is working on their Silver Award. The Silver Award is the second highest national award of the Girl Scouts and it is designed to foster the skills of planning, problem solving, critical thinking and leadership within girls 11-14 years of age. The troop must complete a 50 hour service project that leaves a lasting impact on the community. With that in mind, the G.S. Cadette Troop 664 picked the Stafford SPCA as their community mission. The Cadettes have started working on their beautification project around the Stafford County SPCA shelter which includes three raised gardens and benches along the dog walking trail. The cost of supplies is higher then they had anticipated. Because of this, they are reaching out to friends, family and supporters of both the Girl Scouts and the Stafford SPCA to try and raise money to purchase the needed items to finish this project. The girls have worked for a long time in planning this project and we hope that you can help them finish it. Please donate to the fund at https://youcaring/gsatroop664silveraward2014 We will update you with pictures from the project as each phase gets completed. Thank you for your support!
