Girl Scouts of Mifflin and Juniata Counties will be holding a free event April 12, 2014 from 2pm to 4pm at Rec Park. We are hoping that you would like participate in this community event by having a stand, booth ect regarding the topic of living a healthy lifestyle. The focus is on a healthy lifestyle, healthy eating, and get moving. One Promise, One Community is an event designed to encourage children and parents to turn off the television and play. Become more being physically active, especially outdoors. The various organizations that are joining us have also been encouraged to reinforce one simple message: Get up, get out, and go play!! We are hoping that this event will engage, educated, and empower many of our community neighbors to adopt a healthy lifestyle that includes regular physical activity and good nutrition.
