Girl among 2 die in Valley Srinagar Aug 01: Three persons including a 17-year- old girl died in Kashmir Valley, officials said on Thursday. They said that a 32-year-old Nazir Ahmad Sheikh son of Sikander Sheikh resident of Dardpora, Kupwara died when he came in contact with a live wire at his home. In another incident, a non- local laborer died in a fall while working at construction site in Srinagar. A-25-year old Manesh son of Manu Lal resident of Arariya, Bihar fell from a roof top of a Quarters building at Naaz Colony where he was working. “He received critical injuries in the fall and was shifted to the hospital; however, he succumbed to his injuries on way to the hospital.” Meanwhile, a-17-years old girl (name with held) resident of Batapora Larnoo, Anantnag, consumed some poisonous substance at her home in the jurisdiction of police station Kokernag. She was shifted to Public health Centre Larnoo, where from she was referred to District Hospital Anantnag, where she breathed her last. A case has been registered in this regard. Meanwhile, Police have initiated inquest proceedings under section 174 CrPC in all the cases. (KT)
