Girl dresses a certain way, goes out, gets raped. Some people blame the girl. Others blame the rapist. No one ever bothered to question how society is structured, and how its current structure makes it an environment conducive to rape. Substitute dressing a certain way with political satirical cartoons, substitute rape with a fatwa that gets carried out. Until real, proactive social upheaval takes place, a better world with less crime, poverty and injustice will remain Utopia as a concept, will remain the pipe dream that the jaded and practical will continue to scoff at, instead of an ideal that is assymptotically feasible. A better world, I said. Not a perfect world, God forbid I dream of that when the dream of a better world already sounds crazy.
