Girl with the Dragon Tattoo 3.5/4 David Fincher does it again. Mikael, Daniel Craig, is a journalists on the ropes hired by a wealthy business man, a really good Christopher Plummer, to discover who murdered his granddaughter forty years ago. Mikael hires recluse Lisbeth, anstellar Rooney Mara, because of her tremendous computer hacking, investigative techniques. Lisbeth has baggage of her own, which is presented rather graphically. The performances are spot on, and the cinematography is incredible. Based on Stieg Larrsons international best seller, with a few big changes that work well. There is much comparison to the Swedish film that was released prior. Finchers version has a much darker feel, and Craigs Mikael is better. The Lisbeths are equally compelling.
