Fairfield Union 3, Teays Valley 2 Teays Valley continued to show the progress it has made as a team on the court on Thursday, but for the second time this week the Vikings fell in a five-set match, this time to host Fairfield Union, 14-25, 25-20, 14-25, 25-23 and 8-15, in MSL-Buckeye action. “Our defense played well tonight and our hitters were able to play smart, which put pressure on a great Fairfield Union team to earn points,” TV coach Kyle Watson said. “We stayed in the match with smart, tough play but we are still working on closing out that fifth set.” The Vikings lost a five-set match earlier this week to Logan Elm. Kerbey Gregg had 40 digs and four aces, Abbi Schulz tallied five kills, while Kendal Miller and Logan Graves added three each and Lindsey Krause dished out 13 assists for TV. The Vikings (2-6, 0-5) travel to Harvest Prep on Monday for a non-league match.
