Give Me A Magic Wand Abracadabra.... Abracadabra give me a magic wand a tall top hat filled with that which pays upon demand. Give me sonnets and roses bloom give me balloons so grand give me moments to share in love the touch of a gentle hand. Let the sunlight touch my hair and paint it in sparkling gold To live a life of storybook fashion remember what Mother told? All the princes were handsome and kind all the damsels were sweet No body robbed, and nobody killed and nobody lived in the street. So turn away eyes and turn away thoughts never, never look back. Why would we want to ruin a lifetime by seeing what we look at. But if for a moment the wand had the magic what oh what would you do? Would you wave it to fill your own top hat or would you try to see through the sadness and ugly times of some lifetimes would you fix it for some or would you take your wand and go walking back to the land of the dumb? Would you touch babies, touch old men touch the weak and those few who have not a fortune, but only misfortune Those who are “lessor” than you? Pray for your soul if you cannot see them pray for the ones so unkind for they are the ones who’ll not make the doorway Left in the cold, with worthless gold, certainly left behind. ©3/24/99
