Given how difficult it is to find an agent to publish a book, I am frustrated at the fact that a celebrity who doesnt have any qualifications when it comes to writing can publish a book so easily. Agents dont want to take a chance on a no-name, but yet any celebrity can publish a novel, cookbook and childrens book. Most of them have ghost-writers anyway. What makes these celebrities expert writers, cooks, self-help gurus, etc? Nicole Richie already has a collection of suspicion novels. That should say everything. What are her qualifications except for the fact that her dad is Lionel Richie? Also, many celebrities have their own clothing line, perfume, etc. All they do is put their name to a product and make it seem like they actually came up with it. There are so many starving artists out there who will never get noticed. Is this truly a land of opportunity or a land of its all who you know?
