Given my recent postings I would like to make some things very clear: I have every sympathy with the Palestinian people and their right to their own self-determination and their own State within secure borders like any other. I believe the Palestinian people have been used as political pawns by Arab states since 1947 with the sole aim of manipulating the United Nations and World opinion against Israel (in fairness some countries have changed their stance). Yasir Ararfat was offered 95% of his demands for the establishment of a Palestinian state but wanted all or nothing. I believe The Palestinian People are not responsible for the rocket attacks on Israel, these are solely down to Hamas which is recognised as a terrorist organisation by the International community. Hamas is determined to destroy Israel and the Jewish people and will block and stymie any attempt at achieving peace. Israel does not occupy Gaza, it removed all presence in 2005. Israel has the right to defend itself by whatever means it has at its disposal. Hamas knows it cannot win any war against Israel so it deliberately uses its own innocent civilians as human shields to maintain local opinion against Israel (ie manipulate its own population) and keep World opinion against Israel by displaying the victims to the Worlds media. If Israel wanted to destroy Gaza it could carpet bomb continuously for 3 days and 3 nights and flatten every building and kill every civilian. At this time please pray for and end to all of this, pray for peace in the region and common sense to prevail with the establishment of a Palestinian state with open borders with all its neighbours (including Israel) for the common good of all.
