Given the authors normal penchant for espousing a leftist political perspective, I found this surprising. Critics of the current government may be permitted to point to escalating poverty, low wages, high taxes, crippling debt, and failing infrastructure at a time when federal transfers are very generous. As one commenter put it: it does appear that todays NDP has learned negative advertising from the US Republican GOP. Talk about strange bedfellows.
