Given the recent rude and uncalled for comments to our Facebook and chat room lately we would like to remind everyone that we are volunteers. We understand that in an emergency situation our visitors want information as soon as it is available. But please remember that we are real people with lives, families, and jobs. We do our very best to be available during peak times to communicate with Cal Fire and pass the information on to our visitors. At present, several of our moderators are unavailable for various reasons, including one of our moderators who has been called out of retirement to assist with various fires around the north state. We are always looking for additional volunteers to join us. It is difficult to find people who have the time and inclination to do what we do. Those who do volunteer with us are incredibly dedicated to obtaining information about local wildfire incidents, sorting and prioritizing the information, and passing the information on to our visitors in an easy to understand way as quickly as possible. Since 2005, we have had a reputation for fast and accurate information regarding fires in Butte County. If you or someone you know has the time to donate to listening to radio traffic, communicate with Cal Fire personnel, and pass the information on to our visitors here on Facebook, in chat, or both please contact us either via private message here on Facebook or via the email contact form on our website at thenet411.net/index.php/contact Thank you for your consideration.
