Given the state of affairs (regionally and other): It is critical that we as global citizens proceed head-on, focusing relentless effort into the investigation, development, and employment of both novel and pre-existing (although perhaps inobvious) solutions aimed at mitigating the profound and devastating human-bio-psycho-social impacts that exist as direct consequences of public-apathy, short-sighted corporate greed, power elites, accelerating metastization of the military-industrial complex and the resulting landscape of fear. As global citizens we should no longer enable the systemic American terrorist matrix. It seems not at all unreasonable to suggest that the present situational environment necessitates a possibilist approach, defined as follows: 1. A possibilist agenda maintains that the course of human events is not the domain of probability. 2. Probability will arise when an outcome depends on the combination of many connected steps that are beyond our influence and often beyond our knowledge. 3. In human events, the outcome frequently depends on only a few connected steps. 4. These steps often are not beyond our influence, and if they are beyond our knowledge, they may not be beyond imagination and investigation. 5. Therefore, in the possibilist agenda, the investigator(s) thinks not of probabilities but only of possibilities. 6. Adaptive management protocols, intensified public response, and continuous experimental inquiry will reveal unforeseen liabilities, and subsequently identify meaningful avenues of systemic modification/correction. It is time to identify and operationally define our PRIME DIRECTIVE(S).
