Giving God The Glory Series NAME: Lois L. Feister My testimony took place on Good Friday in 1998 at the Faith Covenant Church of Ephrata. For a period of time, I was experiencing a lot of soreness in my feet when I went to bed. This went on for weeks and I had to get up to take an Advil for relief in my feet. My sister, Sharon, had warned me that I was a prime candidate for arthritis since I had sprained my ankles many times and also had broken one foot which I was unable to walk on for four months. During my devotions I came across Ps. 30:2 which says, “O Lord my God, I called to you for help and you healed me.” Needless to say, I claimed that promise. I also had a little conversation with the Lord when I was in bed and I said that if the Lord did not heal my feet, I was afraid that I would not be able to walk in the future. It was close to the Lenten season and Easter was just around the corner. The church decided to have an all-night prayer meeting and other activities on Good Friday. One of the planned activities was a time set aside for foot washing if you were interested. I decided that I was not going to participate on that activity; however, Dianne, one of the members, came back to me and asked if she could wash my feet. I said okay and the water felt sooo good! I then felt impressed to wash another person’s feet. After a period of approximately three or four weeks I realized I had not been taking any more Advil to be able to go to asleep. To this day when I say that I am very grateful that I can walk, I really mean that because I do realize that the Lord was very good and gracious to me. It is with much thanksgiving that I offer this testimony of the Lord’s goodness in my life.
