Giving credit where credit is due. This horse was a challenge in the beginning . I recived him as a 5 year old. He was sold as an untouched 2 year old. He was broke to drive by the Amish as a 2 year old then sold right after, then sent to pasture for the next three years never to be handled again until the day I picked him up. You couldent get near this horse with a harness. You couldent catch him you couldent even brush him. After a couple of weeks (and trying everything under the sun to get threw to this horse) We decided the old owner could come get him and we kicked him out into a 10 acer pasture where he stayed for another week with some other geldings. He played, bucked farted and just lived like a horse for a week, when we had to catch him again, it took 8 people and a roping horse to get him and 2 men with rope halters and lead ropes to walk him out of the pasture. I tied him to the post and he was a changed horse, he let us harness him. And just to let you know we tried everything, from the nice games to catching him to small round pens, he just had his mind set he was going to die. Now 2 years later I still own him, I alwase seen something in him even when other people told me he was crazy. Today he is my right hand man. Hes my number one. He will give me 110 percent if I ask him of it. Hes the type that will put his back into it if the other horse quits pulling. if hes unsure of something just give him the lines and you can watch his wheels turn as he try to figure out what your asking. Hes a work all day until he caint stand type of horse with a heart the size of texas. This horse has taught me so much. I lost his team mate this year (to old age and cancer) and I was so scared to death to put this (what I called) green horse with a new barley broke horse. And to my amazement this horse stepped up to the plate and smacked a home run. I couldent belive it he just acted like hes been doing it all his life and never missed a beat, even corrected the new horse and showed her how to work. Ive done so much with this horse in the last two years hes come so far. Id be lost with out this horse. He will alwase be my lead pony. He will alwase be on our farm. I will do my best to give him the 110 percent he diserves.
