Giving small businesses the opportunity to succeed is a vital to the economic wellbeing of the United States. According to the U.S. Small Business Administrations Office of Advocacy, small businesses have generated 64 percent of the total new jobs created over the past 15 years. I have heard from many small business owners throughout the 3rd Congressional District who say that they drowning in regulatory compliance, wasting valuable resources that could otherwise be used to expand their business or hire more workers. I’m happy to report that today we will be voting on the Promoting Job Creation and Reducing Small Business Burdens Act, to ease this burden and help restore some of the economic freedom that has eroded away under this Administration.
