Giving the good things: Keys to a better marriage: Your key today is, are you giving you mate what they really deserve? Do you know what your marriage partner really deserves? I think you do because that is what you did to win their heart. Your sweetheart deserves your undivided attention, to be listened to, cherished, respected, showered with praise, your willingness to spent time with them, take them out and given gifts and surprises. They deserve to have their hand held, shoulders rubbed, maybe even their feet if they dont smell. They deserve to go on moonlight walks and have long conversations, helped around the house, shopped with, and even pampered from time to time. I am sure we could add a few others. Somewhere though after getting married many couples have a tendency to turn towards the dark-side and forget that their mates needs these things to continue. Do you understand that winning their hand and getting them to say I do is not enough. The effort must continue. That means you must choose everyday to be intentional with your relationship. Marriage is a lot of work but it pays wonderful dividends as long as you continue to sow the good things into it, so remember to pick up this key and start once again giving your mate what they really deserve, after all I bet you promised it on your wedding day. .
