Glad to have been away with my wife for a short while to celebrate her 50th, but I am also glad to be back to the grind (which is not a grind by the way :) ) Mike and I spent the day on the road yesterday visiting with Mark Greenblatt of Barry Bagels in Toledo OH, for the first time since the passing of Barry. We had a great visit and their business continues to grow as they make investments in their future production capabilities. By the way thank you Barry Bagels for adding the Everything Bagel to our lineup. We also stopped by to see Gary Dible in Bowling Green, OH. We had a chance to talk about some things that were on his mind (as far our service levels from the Franchise Company), and we also got a chance to see someone who wears BIGGBY underwear really give it his all. His attention to detail is great! We had a chance to talk about customer interaction and how important that is to his marketplace and growth at his location. Last we did a unscheduled drop in at Jane Durhams location in Maumee, OH. We loved her store and the BIGGBY cashier did a 9 out of 10 in terms of his greeting and upselling ...it was top notch. Both Mike and I found a lot of energy emanating from Jane, and were invigorated by her enthusiasm and quest to get to the next level. All and all a BIGGBY kinda day :)
