#GlashütteOriginalFact No. 17: We are proud to be again official partner of the Dresden Music Festival. An essential element of our partnership with the DMF is the Glashütte Original Music Festival Award, which honours artists dedicated to music and the support of emerging young talents. This year the prize, worth 25,000 Euros, goes to violin virtuoso Hilary Hahn. It will be presented on June 4, 2014 at the Semper Opera in Dresden. As for the last eleven years the award trophy has again been built by two apprentice watchmakers at our “Alfred Helwig School of Watchmaking” in Glashütte. With the flying tourbillon and its 18 tiny weighted screws the trophy unites traditional watchmaking craftsmanship with modern materials.
