Glen Rose Elementary won the District UIL Team award for second grade. Debbie Morris, Principal, and Donna Fowler, UIL Elementary Coordinator, traveled with the students to the UIL District competition. In addition to placing first in the district as a team, GRES Students took the following honors: Creative Writing Team with Coach Lynne Dillard: 1st place - Bryce Plzak 6th place - Brooklyn Peterson Participant - Caleb Plzak Chess Puzzles Team with Coach Michelle Horn: Won the Team Award 1st place - Corbin Homrighaus 6th place - Gastin McGarity Participant - Liam Perez Oral Reading Team with Coach Clarie Downing: 2nd place - Preston Andrews 3rd place - Zara Overton 4th place - Claire Cantwell 5th place - Aubrey Schuelke Storytelling Team with Coach Denise Lane: 1st place - Justyn Winn Participant - Luke Resecker Participant - Carli Rosson Way to go!
