GlenLakes Golf Club Anniversary Celebration GlenLakes Golf Club is celebrating 28 years of business and one year anniversary as a locally owned course with 3 anniversary specials. Located 3 miles east of Lamberts and a half mile east of Foley Beach Express on Country Road 20 in Foley, GlenLakes is quickly becoming “the place where everyone wants to play” and course conditions are the best they have ever been. GlenLakes, Foley’s premier golf club, is open to the public and features 27 holes of unforgettable golf. The 18 hole links-style, Vista Dunes course and the 9 hole resort-style Lakes layout provide a golf experience second to none. Players of all abilities will discover spectacular golf at a great price; anniversary specials include: • Golf Membership Special: October 16, 2014; 6 AM – 5 PM Owners will open the club for business at 6 AM on Thursday, October 16, 2014. People on the way to work will be able to stop in and purchase a membership with NO INITIATION FEES. The usual $500 initiation fee will be dropped for the first 28 people (representing GlenLakes 28 years in the community) who walk in and sign up for a year membership. This special is available for all memberships. All new memberships before 5 PM that day (excluding Lakes only) will have an opportunity to put their name in a hat to win one month’s free membership dues. Join us for anniversary cake throughout the day. • Golf Special: Thursday, October 16, 2014 Anyone can play 18 holes of golf for $28 plus tax on this Anniversary Day from 7:30 am – 3:00 pm. • Anniversary Golf Event: Friday, October 17, 2014 at 12 noon: A special anniversary golf scramble will occur on Friday, October 17, 2014 at 12 noon. The event will start with a most unique nine hole golf scramble ever done in Baldwin County and will finish with a “Low Country Boil” . Prizes will be awarded. Public invited. Price $35/person. Special rates for members. Another great modification that accompanied the change in ownership is the offering of special memberships for locals. Special membership rates for businesses allow management to entertain customers with a round of golf. The Working Folks membership, which is less expensive than a regular membership, allows play any workday after 1 p.m. and all day on weekends and holidays. Newly established is a very low-priced golfing special for policemen, firemen and active duty military members.
