Glendale is getting weirdly restrictive: its like that phenom in which urban people move to mostly rural states . . . and then change those states to be more like the ones they left behind--often with no understanding or rural customs or agricultural imperatives. Glendale is full of hipsters who want to make it a little nanny-city. No plastic bags! No smoking, even in your own home! No artificial turf in your front yard, and the drought be damned! No!
