Glenrock is officially open again. There are still a few trail closures in place (Yeulabah Management Trail, Quarry Loop, Lower Management Trail Section of Easy Way Out). The NPWS have advised; “Sections of Glenrock State Conservation Area that have recently been closed due to wildfire activity have been assessed for tree fall risk, by suitably qualified NPWS staff, and we can advise that the following tracks and trails have had dangerous trees removed and are now open to the public: Yuelarbah Walking Track; Baileys Fire Trail; Hang Ten Track; Snakes and Ladders Track and Gun Club Road Fire Trail. The following tracks have been assessed as being unsafe for public use, and will remain closed until 14th October 2013: Yuelarbah Management Trail between Flaggy Creek and Hang Ten Track; Quarry Loop; Lower Easy Way Out/Easement Trail South; NPWS strongly advise that cyclists, walkers and trail runners remain on formed single track, and do not enter areas impacted by fire off the formal trail network.” Please observe the closures and enjoy the rest of the network. The GTA would like to thank the NPWS for making the establishment of a cycling route prior to the long weekend a priority.
