Glimpses from VPM Kuala Lumpur Palestine Festival. The Dabka is a popular Arab folk dance and often associated with the Palestinians. On the second day of our festival, the Dabka troupe that was to perform couldnt make it at the last moment. We were very disappointed as the Dabka was to be our closing act. We were desperate and searched for options. Soon the answer became obvious. With so many Palestinians in our midst, who needed a troupe. So we called on our guest speakers and Palestinian friends. And what a riot it turned out to be. It was raw, spontaneous, passionate, fun. VPM ladies were not to be outdone and we brought the house down
