Global Currencies As anticipated, Bank of Canada held its overnight rate unchanged at 1.00 percent. The U.S. dollar fell against most of its major counterparts on Friday, as speculation that the Fed Reserve would cut stimulus spending in the near term declined. Indonesia’s rupiah fell 0.4 percent to 10,103 per dollar – marking its 11th straight day of declines and its largest since May 16 – “as the central bank manages a gradual depreciation of the onshore exchange rate toward offshore levels.”
