Global Delays: My son who is 2yo (will be 3 in march) has global delays. Cognitively he is 15-16mos old. He doesnt speak much. Its mostly babble with a handful of words. Although I know what his babbles mean sometimes. Im trying to deal with when he does something wrong - like hurts someone - he needs to apologize. He knows he did wrong because I used to ask him to say sorry and he would give you a hug. Now when he hurts someone, I tell him to say sorry, he puts his head down and pouts. I know this is like normal kid stuff, putting up a fight. Usually after a very long time of him either crying or just being silent, (more or less hes in a timeout. I dont let him play. He has to sit in front of me until he says sorry/gives a hug) he will eventually come hug me. But I just feel like maybe there is a better approach?
