Global Solidarity Ride - Arizona What would you do if you couldnt ride a bike? The women of the Afghan National Womens Cycling Team are breaking gender barriers with every pedal stroke as the first women in their country to ride bikes. On Saturday, Aug. 30, cyclists around the world will ride their bikes in solidarity with the Afghan women who dare to ride. We need you out on bikes to show the women of Afghanistan they are not alone in this revolutionary act. We will leave from Giant Scottsdale at 6 a.m. and will do two group rides - a 30-mile route for some easier riding and a 50-mile route for some faster riding (routes TBD). Men and women are welcome! Mountain 2 Mountain and Liv Cycling USA will be in Afghanistan riding with the team and sharing their photos and stories. #solidarityride2014 More info: mountain2mountain.org/ Video: nbcnews/video/msnbc/51533886 Please remember that this is a group ride, not a sponsored ride. There are no permits, no insurance, and you are riding at your own risk!
