Global Warming in doubt? It is assumed that global warming and polar ice sheet extent and volumes need to be complimentary for confirmation of the theory, so if polar ice sheets are recently thicker and more extensive how can global warming be reliable? The simple answer seems to be related to confirmed melting of glacial ice from Greenland and the land mass of Antarctica. This meltwater has low to zero salinity, and a higher freezing temperature than normal seawater. As the water around Greenland and Antarctica is consistently diluted by glacial runoff it seems reasonable to conclude that more extensive sea ice and thicker sea ice does not dispel global warming, but merely confirms a known scientific fact, that fresh(er) water freezes at a warmer temperature, or a less depressed temperature than sea water with higher salinity. Fresh water is also less dense than sea water, so the pressure at the same depth is higher for more saline water, which in turn demands a lower temperature for freezing to occur. Global warming is neither confirmed nor dispelled by what is likely to be proved a temporary increase in sea ice, while the land based glacial ice continues to melt steadily. dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2681829/Global-warming-latest-Amount-Antarctic-sea-ice-hits-new-record-high.html bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-27465050
