Global freshwater shortages are predicted within ten years. Planet Earth is drying out. Desertification is increasing rapidly. Humanity is causing this; - it is not a natural phenomenon. It is humanities widespread abandonment of the traditional self-sufficient, sustainable and austere ways of living that is the cause. It can only be reversed by widespread global reforestation; - however, it will take a global effort and time. With the human population predicted to double within twenty five years, severe climate change and growing global desertification; fresh water security and the race to restore natural freshwater flows is rapidly becoming a defining aspect of The Shift. As fresh water becomes increasingly scarce, everything changes. Unless we become independent of metropolitan owned and controlled civil water resources, unless we recycle all water, unless we stop wasting water and unless we restore Mother Earths natural water flows it is very likely that there will be many battles and wars waged over water in the coming decade. Where is your water? Where does it come from? Does it come out of a tap? There are many cities across the world that will have to be abandoned within the next ten to fifteen years due to loss of water. Already the city of Detroit in the U.S.A has been cutting off domestic water supplies to its inhabitants on a restricted periodic schedule in order to supply the cities industries sufficient water, otherwise they will have to shut down, causing mass unemployment. This scenario is happening in other cities around the world as well. Water is life’s most essential substance. The water message from the Hopi seers relates to this coming reality.
